PRP and GROWTH FACTORS

At XS Medspa we offer state of the art PRP treatments utilizing the latest in centrifuge technology paired with proprietary YES PRP kits.

In addition, PRP can be administered with exosomes that are sourced from amniotic fluid tissue grafts.  This provides a matrix of growth factors that can accelerate tissue healing and new cell growth.

PRP and exosomes can be administered to the face as a cosmetic application, to the scalp for hair loss and to the joints to help treat joint injuries and chronic wear associated with aging.

PRP (PLATELET RICH PLASMA)

We utilize YES PRP centrifuge and kits to obtain concentrated PRP that is rich in growth factors.  Platelets are known to aid in the healing process of all wounds and therefore the regeneration of cells. New data shows that platelets release large doses of bioactive proteins, known as growth factors responsible for attracting macrophages, mesenchymal stem cells and osteoblasts which promote the removal of necrotic tissue and enhance tissue regeneration and repair.

YES PRP ADVANTAGES

Many products on the market for extracting platelet rich plasma are ineffective or only produce a very small concentration of PRP.  YES PRP uses state of the art technology with no contamination from a separation gel.  There is no platelet damage from centrifuation and RBC's are eliminated from the yield and extraction of PRP.  Prior to injection in the treatment area, platelets are activated with calcium chloride.

PROCEDURE

The PRP procedure is relatively quick. To develop a PRP preparation, 17 cc of the patient’s blood is drawn, then placed into our kits and then into a FDA cleared centrifuge device.  The centrifuge is used to separate the PRP from PPP and RBC components. After the blood has been separated and extracted into a syringe, the physician will then inject the concentrated PRP into the treatment area. The PRP treatment takes less than 1 hour including the preparation time.

EXOSOMES

Exosomes are a group of vesicles originating from the multivesicular bodies (MVBs), and are released into the extracellular space when MVBs fuse with the plasma membrane. Numerous studies indicate that exosomes play important roles in cell-to-cell communication, and exosomes from specific cell types and conditions display multiple functions such as exerting positive effects on regeneration in many tissues.  When combined with PRP, the therapeutic benefits of exosomes can be amplified.

PROCEDURES
FACE

FACE

PRP and exosomes and can be administered to the face through a series of injections and then PPP can be applied topically with microneeedling.  This has all the benefits of micorneedling which include improving skin texture and reducing hyperpigmentation or melasms as well as reducing fine lines.  Injections into the dermis help improve skin elasticity, collagen production and stimulate the production of more blood vessels which brightens the skin to create a more healthy and youthful glow.

SCALP

SCALP

Injections of PRP and exosomes into the scalp assist with restoring more healthy and thicker hair.  In areas with complete hair loss it is not effective at regenerating new follicles however areas with sparse hair growth and thin hair can be shown to significantly the quality, thickness and density of hair growth.   It should also reduce hair loss and shedding.

JOINT

JOINT

Joint injections in the knee and shoulder are commonly done to reduce pain associated with inflammation and ligamentous injuries.  This can help with joints that have pain associated mild to moderate arthritis as well as tendinitis and tendinosis. Direct injection into partially torn tendons or inflamed tendons due to overuse injury can also help expedite healing and recovery while reducing pain.
